    Presentation:

Bianca Manoleanu - born in Bucharest, Romania, graduated from the National University of Music in Bucharest, was trained in lyrical singing by Emilia Petrescu, then by Florica Maries, making her debut in the opera A Stormy Night by Paul Constantinescu.

She enjoys the vocal-symphonic and chamber music genres in particular, performing in concert with philarmonics throughout the country and abroad and in numerous solo recitals, including mostly Romanian songs (some newly written). Her rich repertoire ranges from preclassical composers to contemporary music.

Together with her husband, pianist Remus Manoleanu, she has made tours in the Netherlands, Germany, Hungary, Syria, Japan, and America. A member of the old-music ensembles "Cantus Serenus" and "Claudopolis", she also teaches singing (songs-oratorio) at the National Music University of Bucharest. She has recorded extensively on disc and radio (for the radio archives).
