Dan
Mihai Goia – born in Cluj, Romania, he studied
violin, viola, piano and sing, graduated National Music University
from Bucharest, were he studied choir conducting with Marin
Constantin and Petre Craciun. He was a member of the Madrigal
Chorus (1971-1995), he conducted this famous ensamble, becoming
in 1998 a second conductor and general director adj.
From 1997 he conducts "Te Deum Laudamus" Choir; they
presented many concerts in Romania and abroad. They recorded
some CDs including sacral music. Member of the Composers’
Union, he wrote many coral and chamber music, also the ballet
White Snow, a simphonic suite etc.
Between 1990 – 2003, he was a teacher at the National
University. He has a Ph. D. in musicology.
From 2000 he conducted Radio Chorus. He was awarded many distinctions
such as: The Musical Critics Union Award, The Cultural Merit
Order- second class, The Patriarchal Cross.
