INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION FOR COMPOSITION
The composition competition consists of two
main sections.
Symphonic music
Orchestral scores may not exceed:
- 14 first violins, 12 second violins, 10 violas, 8 celli, 6
double basses
- 3 flutes, 3 clarinets, 3 oboes, 3 bassoons
- 4 horns, 3 trumpets, 3 trombones, 1 tuba
- timpani + 3 percussion groups
- harp piano celesta glockenspiel harmonium synthesizer
Chamber music
Compositions for a group of 1 to 10 instrumentalists, possibly
with vocal participation.
The duration of a piece for each section has to be not less
then 10 minutes and not more then 40 minutes.
The compositions have to be sent before the 1st of July 2009
in 3 (three) copies, under a motto, to the following address:

A sealed envelope accompanying the composition has to include:
• Author’s first and
last names
• Full address and phone number
• Date and place of birth
• Copy of birth certificate
• Two recent photographs (black-white
or colored)
• An updated Curriculum vitae
The proposed compositions should not have been performed in
public. The compositions will be appreciated by an international
jury.
The winning works at both sections will be performed in public
concerts organized within the 2011 "George Enescu"
International Festival.
