Antonio Chen Guang

Born in 1994 in China, Antonio Chen Guang has started studying piano at a very young age. He has studied at the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing, then at the Juilliard School in New York, followed by the Accademia Pianistica Internazionale di Imola, before continuing now his further education at the Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst in Vienna.

He is the top prize winner of some important international competitions including the Scriabin Competition, the Roma International Piano Competition, the Olga Kern International Piano Competition, the Maria Canals Competition. He has played with European and American orchestras and has performed across Europe, America, Africa, and China. He collaborated with artists such as Anna Tifu, Enrico Dindo, Jan Willem de Vriend, Christian Arming, Stefan Milenkovich, Ezio Bosso, Yves Abel, Paul Badura-Skoda and Pavel Berman.

He studied with Zhao Pingguo, Matti Raekallio, Vovka Ashkenazy, Vladimir Ashkenazy, Leonid Margarius, Paul Badura-Skoda, Lilya Zilberstein, Nazzareno Carusi, and his mentor Antonio Mormone. He was supported by the Brenna Tosatto and the Lieven Piano School. His first CD was released by Steinway & Sons in 2020 and included works by Bach, Brahms, and Berg. Among his next engagements are recitals in Vienna, Milan, Sarasota USA, chamber collaborations and performances with orchestras in Germany.
