Apply for the George Enescu International Competition until 15 April 2018

The George Enescu International Competition has already started to receive applications for the 4 sections – violin, cello, piano and composition. The deadline for submitting the form is 15 April 2018. The young musicians who are interested can access it HERE.

Celebrating 60 years from the first edition, both the Festival and the Competition have gained the amplitude and greatness their founders hoped for since 1958. Nowadays, both events dedicated to music have managed to situate Romania on the cultural map of the world, while Vladimir Jurowski as artistic director and Zubin Mehta as honorary president consolidate the profile and the international reputation of the George Enescu Competition and Festival.

Meant to discover and promote the young talents of the classical music, the George Enescu International Competition will take place between 1 and 23 September 2018. The programme has been already completed and the artistic committees are to be announces. Among the representative members of the jury are Philippe Entremont, Pierre Moyal, Salvatore Accarod, Jean Jacques Kantorow, Viktor Tretiakov, Peter Jablonski, David Geringas, Zygmunt Krauze, Arto Noras, Myung Wha Chung, Rapahel Wallfish, Jian Wang, Marin Cazacu, Remus Azoiței, Dan Dediu, Silvia Marcovich and others.
