Chun Lam U was born in 2002 and is currently studying at the Oberlin Conservatory with Prof. Dang Thai Son. He started learning the piano at the age of 5 at the GMC Music Academy in Hong Kong with prof. Rizzo Chung.
Chun Lam’s achievements include prizes at the Steinway & Sons International Youth Piano Competition in China, Chopin International Piano Competition in Asia, Zhuhai International Mozart Competition for Young Musicians, Hanoi International Piano Competition, Van Cliburn Junior Piano Competition, and Ettlingen International Competition for Young Pianists.
Chun Lam collaborated with the Salzburg Chamber Soloists, Vietnam Symphony Orchestra, and the HK Youth Symphony Orchestra, performing under the batons of Lavard Skou-Larsen and David Gómez Ramírez. He attended masterclasses of world-famous pianists and teachers, such as Maria João Pires, Tamás Ungár, William Grant Naboré, Lee Kum-Sing, Antonio Pompa-Baldi, Angela Cheng, and Reiko Kikuchi.
