The name “Royal Camerata” is not by chance, as the orchestra received the High Patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Radu of Romania in 2009.
At the anniversary of five years of existence, Royal Camerata was awarded with the Medal ‘King Michael I to Loyalty’ by the Royal House of Romania and received the Musica Viva Award from the Romanian Cultural Forum,.
Royal Camerata’s presence is becoming more common on the Romanian scenes where it performs inspiring projects. It was invited to perform at the George Enescu International Festival ( 2011 and 2013), the last performance being with Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra within a major project entitled Side by Side. It is close to the Royal House of Romania in ceremonies celebrating the Anniversary of the Jubilee of Prince Radu of Romania or the Coronation of Prince Nicolae of Romania with the title of Royal Highness, the 90-year Jubilee of King Mihai, Royal Decoration “Nihil Sine Deo”, celebrating 25 years from the return to the Country of Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Margareta.
Royal Camerata has collaborated with leading conductors and soloists from Romania and abroad.
