KRISTINA GEORGIEVA

BULGARIA   

  • date of birth: February 20, 2001
  • currently studying at the Musica Mundi School in Waterloo, Belgium;
  • participated in Musica Mundi Chamber Music Festival where she met her recent violin teacher Leonid Kerbel and had the opportunity to play chamber music with artists such as Mischa Maisky, Maxim Vengerov, Ivry Gitlis, Ivan Karizna and others;
  • a recent highlight is her performance of Sarasate – Zigeunerweisen with the Belgian National Orchestra and conductor Maxim Vengerov;
  • performed in many countries such as Italy, USA, Estonia, Russia and Germany.

Prizes: 1st Prize at the Rising Stars Competition (Berlin, 2017), Grand Prix at the International Music Competition for Young Performers (Pernik, 2018), 1st Prize at the International Young Virtuoso Competition (Sofia, 2018)
