Welcome to the Enescu Competition! You have made a great choice for your career! Some of the remarkable pianists who participated in the George Enescu International Competition before you, and who have launched their international careers after the Competition, are: Elisabeth Leontskaja (Russia), Radu Lupu (Romania); Josu de Solaun (Spain), Jeung Beum Sohn (South Korea), Tebenikhin Amir (Turkey), Eduard Kunze (Russia), Irina Zahharenkova (Estonia) and many more.

The winners of the Enescu Competition will receive financial prizes, masterclasses and will benefit of international publicity. Winning the first place at the Enescu 2021 Competition represents your direct ticket for performing on the stage of the George Enescu International Festival, in the 2023 edition.

What is important to know before completing the online application form?

  • The application deadline is April 15 2022. The jury will select the competitors based on the video recordings submitted in the application. The jury will select 12 competitors to perform in the 2022 Semifinal of the Enescu Competition and the results will be announced on May 31.
  • The repertoire you will include in the Registration form is the final one and it cannot be modified after the application is submitted. Each candidate will individually determine the order of the works performed in each stage of the Competition.
  • Before completing the Registration Form, we invite you to carefully study the Competition Rules and the Repertoire and to thoroughly prepare yourself for one of the most beautiful experiences you will take part in!
