WELCOME TO THE FIRST ROUND OF THE PIANO SECTION

SEE BELOW VIDEO RECORDINGS OF THE CONTESTANTS’ PERFORMANCES

Between September 11 and 15 took place the First Round of the Piano Section in the 2020 George Enescu International Competition - this year online:

  • 55 young pianists from 20 countries participated in the 2020 Enescu Competition, organized this year online. Initially, 86 registered.
  • 27 years old – the average age of competitors
  • The youngest competitor is 15 years old; the oldest is 33.
  • Competitors have sent - safely from their homes - the video recordings of their performances that you can watch below.
  • The repertoire was chosen by competitors.
  • The results of the First Round, according to the Jury’s vote, will be announced on September 16, 2020, at 5:00 PM GMT | 8:00 PM EEST (Romania), on our website. 

This year our concert hall is online.

With greater reason, the performers’ emotions are heightened. They need a warm audience more than ever before.
