The 17th edition of the he George Enescu International Competition will take place between the 29th of August and 20th of September 2020 in Bucharest. It will feature a number of novelties, reinforcing its top position in international rankings, as it continues to attract an increasing number of worthy competitors.

At each edition, journalists are warmly welcomed and we are grateful for the way they broadcast the information about our event to a more and more numerous audience attending the concerts.

Here it is the necessary information for a good collaboration: 

Accreditations

In order to receive an Accreditation as a Journalist at the George Enescu Competition, we invite you to fill in the form displayed on the right side of this page. Only journalists who have completed the form entirely will find themselves on the list of press accreditations and will be granted access to all stages of the Competition, the Opening Gala and the Special Recitals. The accreditations will also ensure the journalist's inclusion in the database for receiving the official press releases. Important:

  • The deadline for accreditation is the 1st of August 2020.
  • The accreditation does not cover transport or accommodation costs, but it guarantees access to the events included in the program within the available venues. 
  • Rules of access to concerts, based on accreditation, will be communicated in due time.

For a proper media communication

Given the increased interest for the Competition’s events from journalists from across the country & from an international level, the communication team’s efforts are focused on responding to requests and providing relevant content to everyone in a timely manner. In order to do so:

  • We invite you to carefully read the Competition’s Program so you can plan the activities and the events you intend to take part in.
  • For a good documentation process, we kindly ask you to see the News of the editionthe Competition Rules and the Jury sections of this edition.
  • We invite you to use press materials on this website for official and consistent information about George Enescu International Competition.
  • In case you have not received the official press releases of the event in your inbox, we invite you to access them on this page, in the Press Releases section. Or you can send us a request to be included in our data base, through an email at enescu@omavision.ro.
  • In case you have obtained information that might be of interest from an unofficial source, we invite you to contact us directly and validate it with us., as to avoid communication errors in the public space.

Video images and photos

Video images and photos from the stages of the Competition, recitals and the Opening Gala are available free of charge for press throughout the event.

The photos can be downloaded directly from the Gallery section of the website and can be used by following the copyright rules, namely mentioning the video image provider as well as the official photographers of the event.

We also invite you to contact the communication team directly for specific photo/ video requests.

Interviews and support for content development

Requests for organizing interviews and statements will be handled in the registration order of the applications, within the availability of the artists and the personalities involved in the competition, who are highly solicited during the event.

We try to respond to all requests and help all those interested in developing relevant materials by relying on very good planning and timely transmission of topics of interest/ requests from journalists.

Live broadcasts and recordings

The competition will be broadcasted live on this website and on other cultural websites who benefit from written approval from the organizers. Live recordings can be used, only with the proper source mentioning, for a maximum of 10 minutes.

The organizers grant the right of the accredited journalist to broadcast live from the concert hall for a maximum of 5 minutes, only from specific preset places.

Positioning of cameras in the concert hall

For a good performance of the artistic act, all cameras will be positioned next to the entrances at the back of the hall.
