Organized with a new concept, the 2016 edition of the Enescu Competition will bring to the same stage established artists as well – members of the jury, winners of previous years who have made an international career, and winners of the competition of 2014, who will give extraordinary recitals at this edition. Enescu Competition 2016 also involves the audience thanks to a new app, which allows users to register their own lifelong dream on the website of the Competition and Festival. The recitals and concerts with orchestra at the Enescu Competition 2016 are broadcast live in Romania, on, and on a screen in front of the Romanian Athenaeum, as well as all over the world, by the online classical music channel Medici TV.

“I dream ceaselessly. I want to play music for as long as I am alive.” –these are the words of George Enescu, brought back to life at the 2016 edition of the Enescu Competition, in a challenge launched to young artists and to the audience alike: “Give life to your dream!”. We are the sum of our dreams, as individuals and as a society. Enescu Competition 2016 invites us to acknowledge and celebrate the dreams that take us further, from the perspective of the selected young artists competing at this edition, as well as from that of the audience coming to support them at the Romanian Athenaeum.
