Eva Garet

Eva Garet, born in Bucharest on May 10, 2006, studies piano from the age of 5. She is now a 9th grade student of piano teacher Mihaela Zamfirescu at the George Enescu National College of Music in Bucharest.

Over the years, Eva had masterclasses with Florian Mitrea (Royal Academy of Music), Constantin Sandu (ESMAE, Porto), Vlad Dimulescu (National University of Music Bucharest), Adrian Suciu (Mozarteum Salzburg).

Since 1st grade, Eva Garet won over 40 piano competitions in Romania: Pro Piano, Millennium Piano, Gradus ad Parnassum, Victor Giuleanu, Ada Ulubeanu, Piano ArtIs and the Music National Competition. In 2016, at 10 years of age, Eva Garet became the youngest winner of the Golden Lyra Trophy in Suceava. Since 2019, the Golden Lyra Competition awards the special prize Eva Garet to the youngest finalist.

Internationally, Eva Garet won 1st Prize in Lleida, Spain at the 2017 1st Ricard Viñes Piano Kids and Youth Competition. In 2018 she won 1st prize at the first Mihaela Ursuleasa International Piano Competition in Bucharest and 5th prize at the Ettlingen Piano Competition. In 2019 she was laureate of Concertino Praga and in 2020 she was once again an Ettlingen laureate, at Ettlingen Online Finals. Eva won 1st Prize at Young Euregio Piano Award, at Vladimir Krainev Moscow International Competition and 2nd Prize at the XXXII Ferrol International Piano Competition in 2021.

Eva Garet made her concert debut at age 11, in January 2018, at the Bucharest Radio Hall with the Romanian Radio Chamber Orchestra under the baton of Ștefan Novak, broadcast live by Radio România Muzical, followed by a concert with the Ion Dumitrescu Philharmonic from Râmnicu Valcea. In 2021 she performed with Jose Trigueros and Orquesta Sinfónica de Galicia. Eva made her debut in Moscow under the baton of Vladimir Spivakov at Svetlanov Hall, with the Chamber Orchestra Virtuosi of Moscow.
