Hyunah Pyo

SOUTH KOREA

Hyunah Pyo was born in 2001 and started playing cello at the age of 8. She is currently studying with Pieter Wispelwey at the Robert Schumann University in Germany. Previously she studied with Prof. Jeong Joo Choi. She participated in masterclasses given by Myung-wha Chung, Arto Noras, Frans Helmerson, Jens Peter Maintz, Wolfgang Emanuel Schmidt, and Steven Isserlis. In 2016 she joined the Kronberg Academy.

She won the 4th prize at the International Tchaikovsky Competition for Young Musicians in 2014 and the 3rd prize at the Anton Rubinstein International Competition in 2022.

Hyunah performed at the Kumho Cultural Art Foundation, Seoul Spring Chamber Music Festival in Korea, Calahorra International Chamber Music Festival in Spain.
