Inna Montesclaros

PHILIPPINES

Born in 1993 in Manila, Philippines, Inna Montesclaros began her piano studies when she was five years old. From winning local competitions such as the National Music Competition for Young Artists, the Rosario Picazo Piano Competition, the Piano Teachers Guild of the Philippines Competitions, she went on to win competitions in South Korea (Asia International Piano Academy Festival and Competition), Malaysia (4th International Chopin Piano Competition), Vietnam (1st International Piano Competition), Germany (Rising Stars Grand Prix Competition), and Hungary (Danubia Talents International Music Competition). She was a semifinalist of the Bromsgrove International Musicians’ Competition and participated in the 2018 George Enescu International Competition in Romania. 

She finished her undergraduate studies at the Royal College of Music with Ian Jones, then her postgraduate studies at the Royal Academy of Music with Ian Fountain, earning First Class marks and Distinction in both institutions. She credits her love of music to her first teachers in the Philippines – Cecile Roxas and Raul Sunico. She has performed in masterclasses for Richard Goode, Imogen Cooper, Tatiana Sarkissova, Dorian Leljak. She gave concerts around Europe, Asia, the USA, South America and in the Philippines. She was featured as a soloist with orchestras in London, as well as all the major orchestras in the Philippines, playing concertos by Rachmaninoff, Chopin, Mozart, Beethoven, Haydn, Schumann, and Brahms. Also a painter, Inna has collaborated with artists to produce cross-arts performances, and has been featured at the RAM Piano Festival, the Royal Academy of Arts Oceania Exhibit, St. Cecilia Hall (SSC Manila), and the Bloomsbury Festival. She has also recently been part of the jury for the 6th Steinway Youth Piano Competition in the Philippines.
