BULGARIA
Ivanova Yoanna was born in Rousse in 2000. She started playing the piano at the age of 8 as a student of Krasimira Ivanova at the National School of Arts Prof. Vesselin Stoyanov. She graduated from the same school in 2019. Since 2019 she is a student of Prof. Ivan Donchev in Rome and since 2020 she studies at the Conservatorio Santa Cecilia in Rome with Claudio Curti Gialdino. Since 2021 she studies in the Talent Music Master Courses in Brescia with Prof. Philippe Raskin.
She has received awards in the following competitions: 1st prize at the Franz Liszt Center Piano Competition (2022); Nouvelles étoiles (2022); Memorijal Sanja Pavlovic – Aleksinac (2022); Premio LAMS Matera (2022); Concours FLAME in Paris (2016); International Festival Wave of Ideas in Greece (2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2019); 2nd prize at the Orbetello Piano Competition (2021, 2022); Craiova Piano Competition (2019); Heirs of Orpheus Albena (2016, 2018); 3rd prize at the Ischia Piano Competition (2021); Danubia Talents Music Competition (2020); Millenium Piano Competition (2017).
Ivanova Yoanna participated in the masterclasses of professors Tatiana Levitina, Tamara Poddubnaya, Chantal Stigliani, Hyunjung Kim, Maria Muravska, Maria Prince, Milena Mollova, Marietta Petkova, Daniela Andonova, Pavlina Dokovska, duo Aglika Genova – Liuben Dimitrov.
She has performed at the Piano Extravaganza Festival in Sofia, National Palace of Culture and the Chamber Hall in Sofia, Wittgenstein House Vienna, March Music Days Festival in Rousse. In 2020 she held a concert with Prof. Rosen Idealov at the Europe Hall in Rousse. She performed as a soloist with the Rousse Philharmonic (conductors Anthony Armore and Yuri Ilinoff), and with the Tarnów Chamber Orchestra (conductor Masahi Katayama).
