Kisuk Kwon

SOUTH KOREA

Kisuk Kwon was born in 1991 in South Korea. He graduated from the Hanyang College of Music in South Korea and is currently studying at the Hochschule für Musik Detmold with Prof. Hartmut Schneider.

He was awarded 3rd Prize at the 71st G.B Viotti International Piano Competition Vercelli 2021; 1st Prize at the Mauro Paolo Monopoli International Piano Competition 2021; 1st Prize and the Ali Darmar Special Prize at the 4th International Piano Competition Istanbul Orchestra’ Sion 2020; 2nd Prize at the Scriabin International Piano Competition 2019 in Grosseto, Italy; 1st Prize at the Steinway Förderpreis OWL 2019; 3rd Prize at the Massarosa International Piano Competition (2021 online).

Kisuk Kwon performed as a soloist with the Orchestra Sinfonica Città di Grosseto, Istanbul Orchestra’ Sion, Prime Orchestra and Orchestra del Teatro Carlo Felice di Genova.
