Luca Titotto was born in Asolo/Italy and studied singing with Beniamino Prior. In 2006 he won the international Giuseppe di Stefano singing competition. He sings at European houses such as La Fenice in Venice, the Teatro Comunale in Bologna, the Teatro di San Carlo in Naples, the Teatro Real in Madrid, the Teatro Massimo in Palermo, the Teatro Regio in Turin, the Norwegian National Opera, the Dutch National Opera, the Bavarian State Opera and at the Rossini Opera Festival. Roles include Giove (La Calisto), Melisso (Alcina), King of Scotland (Ariodante), Don Alfonso, Créon (Médée), Gesler (Guillaume Tell), Ferrando (Il trovatore) and many Italian bel canto bass roles such as Don Basilio (Il barbiere di Siviglia), Alidoro (La Cenerentola), Oroveso (Norma), Sir Giorgio (I puritani) and Raimondo Bidebent (Lucia di Lammermoor).
As a concert singer, he has made a name for himself above all as an interpreter of sacred music. He sang J. S. Bach’s St. Matthew Passion under the baton of Fabiano Bondi, but also Beethoven’s Ninth under the baton of Myung-Whun Chung or Lorin Maazel.
