Margriet Buchberger

After vocal studies in Milan and Würzburg, Margriet Buchberger perfected herself with Cheryl Studer, Kriztina Laki and Edita Gruberova. The recipient of a scholarship from Mirella Freni’s Cubec Foundation for the promotion of young singers, winner of the Bruno Frey Prize of the Baden-Württemberg State Academy and a scholarship from the Richard Wagner Association, she is a regular guest of the Mozart Society Italy and the Mozartwochen in Salzburg. She has sung at Händelfestspiele in Halle, the International May Festival at the Staatstheater Wiesbaden, the Schubertiade in Denmark/Roskilde, the Mittelrhein Music Festival and for the Stagione sinfonica concertistica of the Arena di Verona, among others. Several solo recitals have taken her to the Teatro La Fenice in Venice. She works regularly with the Lautten-Compagney Berlin, the Musicians of the Kings Road and the ensemble Il Giratempo. With La Cetra, Margriet Buchberger was a guest at the Mozartwochen in Salzburg in 2020 with Mozart’s Mass in C minor and performed Vivaldi’s Stabat Mater at the Theater Basel.
