Michelle Candotti

Michelle Candotti obtained the Master in Performance with distinctions and the Artist Diploma at the Royal College of Music in London.

She won the XV Competition for the Best Italian Music Graduates 2009/10. She won 2nd prize and the Audience prize at the International Piano Competition Alexander Scriabin, 2nd prize at the Hastings International Piano Concerto Competition, 2nd prize at the XXIII International Competition Chopin Rome, receiving also the medal of the President of the Italian Senate, the Henk de By Junior Jury in the International Piano Competition Franz Liszt in Utrecht, 3rd prize in the Brescia Classica International Piano Competition; she won the XI International Piano Competition Premio Crescendo Città di Firenze. She is also a semifinalist of the XVIII Chopin International Competition of Warsaw, won 3rd prize and the Audience Prize at the XVII International Competition Grand Prix Animato of Paris.

She has played with the Philharmonic Orchestra of Bacău conducted by Ovidiu Bălan, with the Symphonic Orchestra Città di Grosseto and conductor Gudni Emilsson, with the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra conducted by Brian Wright, the Orchestra of the Goldoni Foundation with Mario Menicagli and the Orchestra Nova Amadeus conducted by Nicola Samale.

She has featured in many recitals, playing in important concert hall like Teatro Olimpico in Vicenza, Royal Albert Hall in London, Bologna’s Manzoni Theatre, Verdi Theatre in Pordenone, Padova’s Giants Hall, at the Sinfonia Varsovia Hall, Chopin Hall in Warsaw, Hastings’ Stables Theatre and Debussy’s childhood house in Saint-Germain-en-Laye.

She is now studying under the supervision of Carlo Palese, with Enrico Pace at the Imola International Piano Academy, and with Dmitri Alexeev.
