Nikolaus Pfannkuch

The Tenor Nikolaus Pfannkuch, born 1989 in Penzberg Oberbayern, completed his Bachelors degree with Reginaldo Pinheiro, followed by a Masters degree with Katharina Kutsch at the Hochschule für Musik in Freiburg im Breisgau.

Masterclasses with Brigitte Fassbaender, Ton Koopman, Markus Eiche, Pauliina Tukiainen, Kai Wessel and François-Xavier Roth complemented his education.
In addition to productions with the Operaschool of the Freiburger Musikhochschule he has been contracted with the Hessisches Staatstheater Wiesbaden, the Theater Baden-Baden as part of the Easter festival of the Berlin Philharmonics and the Theater Freiburg.

In the Season 2017/2018 he played the Tenor Tony Candolino in the play „Meisterklasse“ (“Masterclass”) by Terrence McNally with the Badisches Staatstheater Karlsruhe.Since the Season of 2018/2019 he is a member of the choir of the Bayerischen Rundfunks.

In Addition to his Repertoire in Opera and Lied, Oratorios such as Händels „Messiah“ and „Saul“, Haydns „Schöpfung“ and „Jahreszeiten“, Mendelssohns „Elias“ and „Lobgesang“, Keisers „Markuspassion“, Bachs „Weihnachtsoratorium“ and his passions and kantatas are a significant part of his repertoire.
