Reika Sakamoto

JAPAN

Reika Sakamoto completed her studies at the Toho Gakuen College Music Department, where she pursued the Soloist Diploma Course under Koichiro Harada, and the Master program at the Haute École de Musique de Lausanne. Currently she studies at the Musik und Kunst Privatuniversität der Stadt Wien under Pavel Vernikov.

Reika won 1st prize at the 11th Romania International Music Competition Japan in 2015, the Music Award of the 25th ABC Audition for New Artists’ Concert in Japan in 2016, the Grand Prize at the Global Music Partnership Concerto Competition 2018, 2nd prize in memoriam of Stefan Balkanski at the 6th International Violin Competition Vasco Abadjiev 2021.

She performed as a soloist with orchestras such as Savaria Symphony Orchestra, Uzbekistan National Symphony Orchestra, and Bohuslav Martinů Philharmonic Orchestra of Zlín.
