Salome Torge 

ROMANIA

Salome Torge was born on June 2, 1998 in Iași, Romania. She is now pursuing her master studies at the National University of Music Bucharest, in the class of violinist Alexandru Tomescu. Previously, she has been trained at the West University in Timișoara, George Enescu National College of Music in Bucharest, Octav Băncilă National College in Iași, in the classes of professors Irina Honciuc, Alina Ghiugan, Ioana Croitoru and Alexandru Tomescu.

Salome won the Grand Trophy at the Florica Nițulescu Competition (2014), 2nd prize at the National Music Olympics (2015), 1st prize at the Ada Ulubeanu Competition (2016), 1st prize at the Young Talents Competition in Bucharest (2016), 3rd prize at the Road to Celebrity Competition in Bucharest (2018), 1st prize at the Paul Constantinescu Competition in Ploiești (2019). She has attended masterclasses led by Borislava Iltcheva, George Tudorache, and Stephen Campbell.

As a soloist, she has performed at the Eurochestries Festival (Paris), 2014 and 2015 editions, with the Altissimo Orchestra; at the Romanian Athenaeum, with the Orchestra of the George Enescu National College of Music (2016); in the George Enescu Hall of the National University of Music Bucharest, with the Concerto Orchestra (2019), and with the baroque orchestra of the National University of Music Bucharest. She collaborated with the Cyprus Youth Symphony Orchestra, in Nicosia, Cyprus (2016), and the Romanian Youth Orchestra in Berlin, Dobbiaco, Bucharest and Sinaia (2018).
