The 2021/22 season will see Sina Kloke continue her ascent as one of the most promising pianists on the international classical music scene. Born in Detmold (Germany), Sina Kloke studied with Matti Raekallio (The Juilliard School), Arbo Valdma (Conservatory of Music Cologne) and Pavel Gililov (Conservatory of Music Cologne). Acclaimed musicians such as Karl- Heinz Kämmerling, Elisabeth Leonskaja, Dimitri Bashkirov, Emanuel Ax and Paul Badura-Skoda have substantially influenced her artistic development.
Kloke performs as a soloist and as a chamber music partner at renowned festivals and stages worldwide. Recent highlights include concerts at the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg, the Cologne Philharmonic, the Gasteig in Munich, the Tonhalle in Düsseldorf, the Semperopera in Dresden, the Steinway Hall in London, the KKL Lucerne, the Kraków Philharmonic, the Rudolf-Oetker-Hall in Bielefeld, Carnegie Hall in New York, the Eilat Festival in Israel, the Schleswig Holstein Festival and the Moritzburg Festival in Dresden. In the upcoming season Sina Kloke will give debut recitals at the Enescu Festival in Bucharest, the Theatre des Champs-Élysées in Paris and at the Konzerthaus Berlin.
In the Fall of 2016 the classical music label Naxos released an album of Sina Kloke performing the Ralph Vaughan Williams “Suite for Piano” as a world premiere recording and the “Fantasia for Piano and Orchestra” with the Chamber Orchestra of New York. Sina’s latest album „Enescu Piano Works“ on MDG, featuring Enescu’s „Pièces Impromptues“ and the Piano Suite No. 2., has met with worldwide critical acclaim: “A ravishing interpretation that makes you want to hear more Enescu.” (Pizzicato) “A fascinating CD.” (Le Monde) The album coincided with an international recital tour which includes works by Enescu, Brahms and Debussy, with performances across Germany, including Hamburg, Cologne and Munich as well as the Netherlands, Switzerland and the
United States.
In recent years she has diversified her repertoire with a focus on certain unknown works of late romantics as well as the music of 20th Century composers. New York based composer Carl Christian Bettendorf dedicated the “Piano Piece V“ to her which has been premiered in Munich in May 2019. Sina Kloke consistently incorporates chamber music collaborations into her schedule. Her chamber music partners include soloists of the Vienna Philharmonic as well as of Staatskapelle Dresden.
Sina has been awarded prizes from “The German Music association“, the publisher Schott, the “International Piano and Strings Competition“ New York, the International Piano Competition in Munich, the “International Concerto Competition” Hastings/UK, the “Metropolitan International Piano Competition“, and most recently the soloist prize of the Chamber Orchestra of New York.
