Sofia Blându

Sofia Blându is a 12th grade student at the National College of Arts Dinu Lipatti in Bucharest, studying with Prof. Mircea Marian. She won the Ludovic Bacs Prize – Hungarian Music Festival, 17th edition (2021), first prizes at the National Olympics of Instrumental Music, 3rd prize at the ProArt Competition in Ukraine (2016).

Sofia has performed on stage together with renowned musicians such as Marin Cazacu, Mihaela Martin, Diana Ketler, Răzvan Popovici, and Justus Grimm, as well as in various occasions, such as meetings of the Rotary Club, Enescu and the Music of the World Festival or the SoNoRo Interferences workshops. She performed as a soloist in Cluj Napoca, Bucharest, together with the Youth Orchestra of Romania and Moldova and with the Deutsches Juristenorchester in Germany. She worked with renowned conductors, such as Horia Andreescu, Cristian Mandeal, Gabriel Bebeșelea or Martin Lill. She is a member of the National Youth Orchestra since 2017.

She attended masterclasses given by Frans Helmerson, Henri Demarquette, Reinhard Latzko, Valentin Răduțiu, Marin Cazacu, Răzvan Suma, Octavian Lup, Christoph Wyneken, and Judith Ermert. Sofia Blându is an official ambassador of the Académie musicale de Villecroze after participating in the Cello and Violin masterclasses held by Frans Helmerson and Mihaela Martin.
