Timofey Dolya

Timofey Dolya was born in 1993 in Moscow. In 2012 he graduated with honors the Central Music School at the Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory (the class of Professor Andrey Pisarev), and in 2017 he graduated the Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory at the same class, receiving the title “The best graduate of 2017” for excellence in education and creative achievements. In 2019 he finished his education as an assistant-trainee at the Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory and in 2022 he graduated his studies at the  University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna (Professor Jan Jiracek von Arnim). Currently he is studying at the Graz University of Music and Performing Arts (Professor Markus Schirmer) and at the Imola Music Academy (Professor Boris Petrushansky).

Timofey won the 3rd prize at the Euregio Piano Award (2022); Grand Prix at the International Rudolf Kehrer Piano Competition (2021); 2nd prize at the IV International City of Vigo Piano Competition (2020); 3rd prize at the III All-Russian Music Competition (2018); 1st prize and six special prizes at the Pianale International Academy and Competition (Fulda, Germany, 2016); 2nd prize at the VI International Piano Competition in the Memory of Vera Lotar-Shevchenko (Yekaterinburg, Russia, 2016); 1st prize and two special prizes at the Igumnov Competition-Festival (Lipetsk, Russia, 2016); 2nd prize at the Coimbra World Piano Competition (2016); 1st prize at the Märkischen Musiktage (2014); 2nd prize and special prize at the Rachmaninov Piano Competition (Frankfurt, Germany, 2013). 

Educational grant holder for Studies at the Aspen Music Festival and School (USA, 2014). In 2016, he completed studies at the Pesaro Conservatory Gioachino Rossini (Italy) as part of an international student exchange program. He holds a Nominal Scholarship of the Moscow Conservatory Rector (2014-2017) and Scholarships of the President of the Russian Federation for talented youth. Participated in masterclasses given by Michel Béroff, Akiko Ebi, Noriko Ogawa, Arie Vardi, Joheved Kaplinsky, Wojciech Świtała, Pavel Nersessian, Alexander Sandler, Stephen Kovacevich, and Markus Schirmer.

Timofey performs in Russia, USA, Austria, Germany, Spain, Italy, France, Belgium, Slovakia, Croatia, Montenegro, Japan. He is an active participant of music festivals, such as the St Petersburg Music House River of Talents project, Young Interpreters of Russia, Embassy of Musical Mastery, Evenings in English Hall, 2018 Creative Youth of the Moscow Conservatory, Klavierfestival in Bayreuth, Vienna Music Festival in Yekaterinburg. He performed with the Symphony Orchestra of the Mariinsky Theatre, Tchaikovsky Symphony Orchestra, Moscow State Symphony Orchestra, St. Petersburg State Symphony Orchestra, Brandenburg State Orchestra Frankfurt, Ural Philharmonic Orchestra Yekaterinburg, Ural Youth Symphony Orchestra, Lipetsk Symphony Orchestra, Academic State Symphony Orchestra of the North Caucasus Philharmonic, Academic State Symphony Orchestra of the Nizhny Novgorod Philharmonic, State Symphony Orchestra Novaya Rossiya, alongside conductors such as Vladimir Fedoseyev, Alexander Sidnev, Ernst van Tiel, Alexander Titov, Ulrich Kern, Alexey Dorkin, Pavel Petrenko, Konstantin Barkov, Alexander Skulsky, Alexei Aslanov, Denis Vlasenko. 

He is an Artist of KNS Classical and EMCY, soloist of the St. Petersburg Music House, participant of the chamber programs Great music for a small ensemble of the Moscow Philharmonic. In June 2017, Timofey Dolya’s debut disc was released with a recording of Schubert and Prokofiev works under the KNS Classical label.
