Veronica Cangemi

Born in Mendoza (Argentina), Veronica Cangemi is one of the most versatile sopranos of the music scene today.

Veronica Cangemi’s operatic repertoire includes also the Romantic era. She appeared with great success in Beethoven’s Fidelio (Marzelline – Rome Opera), Schubert’s Alfonso und Estrella (Estrella – in Vienna), Auber’s Le domino noir (Angèle – in Venice), Donizetti’s L’elisir d’amore (Adina – in Lyon), Bizet’s Carmen (Micaëla – in Tokyo and at the Covent Garden in London), Puccini’s La Bohème (Musetta and Mimì – in Dresden and Tokyo).

Among her recent and future engagements: Carmen (Micaëla) at the Royal Opera House Covent Garden in London under Daniel Oren; Idomeneo (Ilia), Pelleas et Melisande (2018), Turandot (2019) and L’Incoronazione di Poppea (2019) at the Teatro Colon in Buenos Aires and La clemenza di Tito (Liege); several concerts throughout Europe, including Beethoven’s Missa Solemnis with the Orchestra Sinfonica Nazionale della Rai under Juraj Valčuha, Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater with Sara Mingardo in Istanbul, Caldara’s La Concordia de’ pianeti and concerts with Una Stella Ensemble, La Cetra, Orquesta Barroca de Sevilla and Ensemble Matheus as well as a recording of Vivaldi`s Il Giustino.
