Yang Hu

Yang Hu was born in Bengbu, China, on April 6, 2004. He started to learn piano with his mother when he was 6 years old. He studied with Baili Fang, Yashuangzi Xie, Quming Zhang, and Dong Sun. Currently he is under the tutelage of Professor Jianing Kong of the Royal College of Music and he is going to become a student of the Royal College of Music from September 2022.

Yang Hu won 1st prize at the 2020 China Youth Music Competition - Hummingbird Music Award; 4th place at the 13th Chinese Music Golden Bell Award in Anhui Province; 4th place in the pre-selection of the 28th International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition for Children and Youth in China; Gold Medal in the 2018 Liszt International Youth Piano Competition – China. He has participated in the 2018 Shanghai International Piano Master Art Week and the 2019 North Coast Piano Festival.
