Daria Terekhova

Daria Terekhova graduated from the Russian University of Theatre Arts under prof. Emma Sarkisyan and perfected her skills in the Mariinsky Theatre Academy of Young Opera Singers in Mikkeli (Finland) with Elena Obraztsova, Vladimir Atlantov and Larisa Gergieva. She is the Second Prize winner of The International Hans Gabor Belvedere Singing Competition (Vienna, 2010), the First Prize winner of the Saint-Petersburg Opera Singing Competition (2011), the First Prize and the Audience Prize winner of Paris Opera Awards under the patronage of maestro Sir Richard Bonynge (2014) and the Second Prize winner of Competizione dell’Opera (Moscow, 2016).

Since 2010, she is soloist of the ensemble of Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Moscow Music Theatre with a vast repertoire comprising Tsarevna Swan-Bird in The Tale of Tsar Saltan, Lucia in Lucia di Lammermoor, Adina in L’elisir d’amore, Olympia in Les Contes d’Hoffmann, Princess Ninette in The Love for Three Oranges, Elvira in L’italiana in Algeri, Glauce in Cherubini’s Medea, Despina in Cosi fan tutte, Zerlina in Don Giovanni, Tytania in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Princess Badr-al-Budur in Nino Rota’s Aladino e la lampada magica, and Biondetta in Vustin’s The Devil in Love among others.

Recent engagements include Konstanze in Die Entführung aus dem Serail during the International Bruckner Festival in Linz (Austria), her debut with The Israeli Opera Tel-Aviv-Yafo as Tsarevna Swan-Bird in The Tale of Tsar Saltan, Olympia in Les Contes d’Hoffmann for National Centre for the Performing Arts Beijing, as well as her Moscow Philharmonic debut with Soprano part in Butsko’s The Tale of Pugachev’s Rebellion conducted by Vladimir Jurowski.

In the season 2020-2021 Daria Terekhova will make her roles debut as Sophie in Der Rosenkavalier, Gilda in Rigoletto and Rosina in Il Barbiere di Siviglia for Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Moscow Music Theatre.
