Born in Romania in 1981 in a family of musicians, Eugen made his debut with Mihail Jora Philharmonic from Bacău at the age of eight.
He continued his studies at „George Enescu” highschool and then at the National University of Music from Bucharest under the baton of N. Bilciurescu, taking at the same time some classes with Ștefan Gheorghiu.
Meanwhile, he is performing as a soloist with some renown national orchestras. In 2000, he was invited by Maestro Gerald Poulet in Paris for master classes and after winning the first prize at „George Enescu” Competition, three years later Eugen decides to settle down there. He is following Ecole Normale de Paris and afterwards, Conservatoir National de Paris together with Olivier Charlier and Jean Jacques Kantorow, also being guided by Dmitry Sitkovetsky, Pavel Vernikov, Mauricio Fuks. This Parisian period brings him various prizes in Warsow, Moscova, Valsesia Carl Nielsen, Kazakhstan, Long-Thibaud, Lyon, as well as numerous invitations at festivals such as Prades, Musicades de Lyon, Newport and several engagements with artists like Dmitry Sitkovetsky, Bella Davidovici, Hamish Milne, Henri Demarquette, Haruko Ueda, Jean Philippe Collard, Mariana Shirynian, Milne, Jiri Barta etc.
Eugen is currenly in Denmark, where he activates as a concertmaster of Odense Symphony Orchestra and first violonist of Copenhagen String Quartet, together with which is performing this season the complete series of Bethoveen` Quartets.
He had different engagements with many orchestras such as Orquestra de Granada, Mahler Chamber Orchestra, Chamber Orchestra of Europe, Orchestre du Capitole de Toulouse, London Philharmonia, Singapore Symphony, Copenhagen Philharmonic and besides these he will soon restart his activity with London Philharmonic Orchestra.
His violin is a Domenico Montagnana, Venice, 1731.
