The mezzo-soprano ILSEYAR KHAYRULLOVA was born in Tatarstan in Russia. She graduated with distinction from the Rimsky-Korsakow Conservatoire in St.Petersburg. She is the winner of International Competition Playing Slonimsky 2012 in St.Petersburg. ILSEYAR KHAYRULLOVA was seen in various operatic productions of the Opera and Ballet Theatre of the St.Petersburg Conservatoire as Olga in Eugen Onegin, Cherubino in Le Nozze di Figaro, Clarisse in The love for three oranges and she also participated in a tour of these productions in Russia. Concerts included appearances at the St.Petersburg Academic Philharmonic, Mikhailovsky Palace in St.Petersburg, at the Big State Concert Hall in Kazan and at the Hofburg Imperial Palace in Vienna.
Since the season of 2013/2014, ILSEYAR KHAYRULLOVA has been an ensemble member of the Vienna State Opera, where her roles include among others Fenena in Nabucco , Olga in Eugen Onegin, Gymnasiast in Lulu, Bersi in Andrea Chenier, Enrichetta in I Puritani, Emilia in Otello. In the season 2015/2016 she appeared as Olga, one of the Three Sisters, in the premiere of Péter Eötvös`s Tri sestri at the Vienna State Opera, conducted by the composer himself.
She made her debut at the Festival Opera Klosterneuburg in the role of Maddalena in Rigoletto, at the Vienna Volksoper as Annie in Gershwin’s “Porgy and Bess”. In December 2019 she performed as Olga in Germany at the Freiburg Theater and in Switzerland at the Winterthur Theater in “Eugen Onegin”. In 2021 a new CD recording of Puccini’s “La Fanciulla del West” was released on behalf of the San Francisco Classical Recording Company / Pentatone, with Ilseyar Khayrullova as Wowkle, conducted by Lawrence Foster; as Flora in Verdi’s “La Traviata” at the Kulturpalast in Dresden with the Dresden Philharmonic conducted by Daniel Oren.
Upcoming projects, among others, alto part in Hermann Suter’s “Le Laudi” at the Zurich Tonhalle with the Zurich Tonhalle Orchestra under the baton of Peter Kennel; Gymnasiast in “Lulu” at the Enescu Festival in Bucharest under the baton of Lawrence Foster; Recitals in Germany and Switzerland.
In addition to the roles already mentioned, her repertoire includes Amneris in Verdi’s “Aida”, Princess von Boullion in Cilea’s “Adriana Lecouvreur”, the title role in Bizet’s “Carmen”, Prince Orlofsky in Johann Strauss’ “Die Fledermaus”, Hansel in Humperdinck’s “Hansel and Gretel”, Suzuki in Puccini’s “Madama Butterfly” and Polina in Tchaikovsky’s “Queen of Spades”, Marfa in „Khovanshchina“, Isabella in Rossini’s “L’italiana in Algeri”.
