Three symphonic sketches: De l’aube a midi sur la mer, Jeux de Vagues, Dialogue du Vent et de la Mer (1905) and Ravel – Bolero for orchestra (1928).

“Enescu Festival is the living proof that people love culture, they love stories and they feed on them. As long as there is a story which makes people vibrate, then the world is changing, step by step, brick by brick, street by street. Enescu Festival is a tangible example that things can be done and, above all, that culture is indeed possible in Bucharest. The Festival is about Bucharest, about the projects in which companies like ours should get involved, because when the city develops not just economically, but socially and culturally as well, it becomes even more attractive. It becomes a city where people wish to live or work, and I’m not just speaking of people from other cities, but also from other parts of the world. This way, the city grows and we grow with it”, said Răzvan Iorgu, CBRE CEO, Silver Partner of the Enescu Festival.

Argentine-born, Martha Argerich is considered worldwide one of the most important pianists of our century. She made her debut at the tender age of 8, with a Mozart concerto. In 1965, as young as 24, she won the First Prize at the Chopin Competition, thus becoming one of the international piano legends. Martha Argerich has performed on all the great stages of the world, under the baton of first-class conductors worldwide. In 2016, she celebrated her 75th birthday under the baton of Daniel Barenboim at the BBC Proms. The Guardian dubbed her performance “unforgettable”. “The way that Martha Argerich touches the piano is equally stunning, and her performance as precise as ever”, added the prestigious British daily.

The concert given by Martha Argerich with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, under the baton of the conductor Charles Dutoit, will also be broadcast live on www.festivalenescu.ro, TVR 3 and Radio România Muzical.
