On August 28, the website of Enescu Festival was taken over by hackers following a cyber-attack. The hackers demanded ransom for the stolen data. The organisers of the Enescu Festival refused to comply and they have initiated actions to investigate the situation, recover the data and re-establish the website in a highly secured form and on a different server. The legal authorities have been notified.
