‘Voces’ Quartet was founded in 1973. The romanian instrumentalists completed their studies here and abroad – Italy, Hungary, Israel, Germany… – with the help of great artists who represent chamber international music life. Between 1981 and 1983, ‘Voces’ attented courses held by the famous quartet ‘Amadeus’ at Koln Academy. The prizes obtained at contests in Colmar (France, 1974), Bordeaux (France, 1976) and ‘Karl Klinger’ (Hannover, Germany, 1978) confirmed the international value of the ensemble. The complete Mozart, Beethoven, Schubert, Brahms as well as the variated reportory, the rich discography and consistent list of romanian works where, at the top we can find the first integral of Enescu’s chamber creation, make ‘Voces’ a referential moment in Romanian and international music life. The musicians are guests of the greatest festivals in the world, are members of honour of Music Academy of Wurzburg (Germany), of Music Academy of Cluj and of Chamber Orchestra of Kerkrade, Holland.
‘Voces’ – the chords quartet with the longest tradition in Romania, celebrates in 2013 40 years from its birth. The quartet means today: Bujor Prelipcean – the first violin, Vlad Hrubaru – the second violin, Constantin Stanciu – fiddle, Dan Prelipcean – cello and it is part of The Romanian Broadcasting Society.
