Individual tickets continue to be sold for concerts where seats are still available * Subscriptions give access to concerts where individual tickets are sold out
George Enescu International Festival organizers reopen the sale for a limited number of subscription tickets for concerts at Grand Palace Hall and the Romanian Athenaeum, the purchase of which was not completed by winners of the ballot organized on July 1. Music lovers who wish to purchase subscriptions are kindly asked to access the Eventim network, on the www.eventim.ro platform, or to go to the sales point specially created for the Enescu Festival in the foyer of the Athenaeum, starting today at 2:00 PM.
Purchases will be made on a first-come, first-served basis. Buyers will be able to choose the seats for which they are buying subscription tickets from a segment reserved for this type of product. These subscriptions also give access to concerts with individual tickets sold out, such as the Academy of St. Martin in the Fields with Joshua Bell, the Royal London Philharmonic Orchestra with Vasily Petrenko and Julia Fischer, the Joyce DiDonato and Ensemble recital, the Mahler Chamber Orchestra with Yuja Wang, and the Maxim Vengerov and Polina Osetinskaya recital.
In parallel, individual ticket sales continue for this Jubilee Edition of the Festival. Preparations for the arrival of more than 3,500 artists are well underway, despite the pandemic. Organizers reconfirm the fact that the Enescu Festival will take place from August 28 to September 26 and that all concerts will observe the required sanitary and safety conditions. In the exceptional situation that a concert does not take place, tickets purchased for that event will be refunded.
Access to the concert halls will be subject to specific sanitary criteria, depending on the venue and the number of seats available under pandemic conditions.
Subscriptions for the Romanian Athenaeum
A subscription for the Romanian Athenaeum includes tickets to all 29 concerts in the Concerts and Recitals series and costs 4,900 RON for Category 1 seats and 3,900 RON for Category 2 seats.
Given the extremely high demand for tickets, the organizers decided that the seats at the Romanian Athenaeum go on sale 100% and, for this reason, audience access to the hall will be granted on presentation of a photo ID and one of the following:
- Official proof of vaccination against SARS-CoV-2 (with a minimum of 10 days passed since completing the vaccination plan)
- Negative PCR result to a test taken within 48 hours before the concert
- Medical attestation of the fact that they are between the 15th and 90th day from testing negative after a confirmed infection with SARS-CoV-2
- The negative result of a rapid antigen test certified by a medical unit, taken within 24 hours before the concert.
Subscriptions for the Grand Palace Hall
A subscription for the Grand Palace Hall includes tickets to the 30 concerts in the Great Orchestras of the World series. Subscriptions for the following five price categories will go on sale:
- VIP Category – 4,900 RON
- Category 1 – 3,900 RON
- Category 2 – 2,900 RON
- Category 3 – 2,100 RON
- Seniors Category – 1,500 RON
Access to the Grand Palace Hall will be granted providing the sanitary criteria are being met, according to 70% of the hall capacity occupancy rules. Physical distancing will be mandatory and masks worn over the nose and mouth will be required at all times.

Information on the purchase procedure and conditions of access is available on the Festival website, under the Tickets section. It is still possible that changes are made to the Program due to the pandemic.
The 2021 George Enescu International Festival is scheduled to take place between August 28 and September 26, 2021, with an exceptional musical program, sustained by over 3,500 international and Romanian artists for a record duration of 4 weeks, with measures in place to reduce potential health risks for audiences, artists, organizers, and journalists.
